Welcome to Babuschka Cattery ! 

Before you start your Tour and have a look at our cats, we would like to spend few words about us  and our breeding programme. 

Babuschka is a small cattery located in Biassono, a  residential village close to Milan, Italy. Our cattery was founded in 1992 by Gian Nicola Mussi  & Anja Wolf. Since 2003 our good friend Stefano Artioli co-owns Babuschka-cattery with us.  He is sharing our passion for solid and particolor persians.

Our first and unique aim was to start breeding Persian Cats with a real  " Open Sweet Look "

Persian Cats are our  " Passion " but of course we love all other kind of cats and pets.

Before deciding to buy some foundation cats , we spent some months in visiting several International Cat Shows, just to look at all those nice persians, and to meet with the breeders and of course to try to learn some of their  " Secrets " 

Our life really changed when we open the pages of  the 1990  CFA 's Year Book. We were so impressed in seeing all those incredible winning persian . We stopped at Jadon Cattery's page  and we decided that the Jadon's look was the right one for us . 

Jadon Cattery , owned by our dear friends Donna, Jack and Susan Cook  has had a very strong positive influence in our breeding program.

How can we forget all the advise we got from Donna ! She explained us everything , from bathing to grooming, and of course how to combine pedigrees together and try to became good breeders.

But there is something above it which she teached us . Her sense of Honesty and Integrity.

Donna sold us a spectacular cream young boy called GRC RW Jadon Chase Manhattan of Babuschka. Chase became our 1st male and his contribution to our breeding program is still visible behind our lines !  But as a friend is a friend and this is why Donna  & Susan Cook were so kind to let us have GRC NW Anz Cinnamon Toast of Babuschka. Toasty became our Top Producing male and after some years he is still living in our cattery and producing darling kittens.

At the beginning of 1996 we decided it was time to look for a new female,just to add some new bloodlines to our small cattery.

Again something " magic" happened when Mrs. Kitty Angel from Kitjim Cattery offered us a young black persian female called Kitjim Belinda of Babuschka. Belinda's pedigree was a great addition for us ! Infact this sweet dolly look girl is out of GRC NW Kitjim Bitter Sweet Harvey and GRC Gatnel Jo Mamma. Despite Blinda was not a top show cat, but just a nice breeder , her contribution to the " Babuschka's Look " has been terrific !  If you look at most of our  best cat's pedigree, then you will realize that Kitjim Belinda of Babuschka is behind them ! Belinda is of course living in our cattery and still producing for us. All our gratitude goes to Kitty Angel for having shared Belinda with us.

Last but not least we would like to thank Vickie and Ken Lahnam of Vickits Cattery for all their  support in creating our cattery 's foundation.

Vickit's contribution to our Look is remarkable ! In fact we can only say  " Thank you " to the Lahnam's  for having trusted us  with : Vickit's Aston Martin of Babuschka, red male and  Vickit's Firenza of Babuschka, white male.

These 2 males have done so much for us ! Today  both of them are  happy and neutered, having a great time at our place !
